The Fild Online Experiences Platform is now in live!

December 11, 2020

Greetings folks!

The time has finally come for us to introduce ourselves to you and share what we’ve been working on these past few months!

Introducing Fild: a new marketplace where you can discover truly unique live online experiences! 🚀🚀

If you feel like experiencing…

  • Cooking with a Bengali chef from Germany
  • Or fancy water colour painting with an artist from India
  • Or maybe you’re just in the mood to sit back and relax to some traditional meditation from Kenya

…then you have come to the right place.

At Fild, we are on a mission to bring you truly unique live online experiences from hosts around the world, whilst having a positive social impact in communities where they grew up (and where many of them still live today).

From today, you can start exploring our collection of hand-picked authentic experiences delivered to you by our local hosts, all from the comfort of your home. We personally love them and can’t wait for you to give these a go!

It gets even better. This part is sure to make your day extra special and leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. We promise to give 25% of our profits to charity. Yes you heard that right!

At the heart of our business is our long term commitment to making a real difference to underfunded and less privileged communities who need support and mentorship to be afforded the very same opportunities to pursue their passions that we all take for granted.

Every time you book an experience with us, we will donate to our charity partner, Charity Connect in Nairobi, Kenya. Charity Connect is a community of genuine, vetted charitable initiatives and founders, who are carrying out incredible grassroots efforts to alleviate hunger and hardship within disadvantaged communities. One of the crucial things to note is that Charity Connect personally vet each initiative, ensuring that we are supporting initiatives that truly give back to the most vulnerable beneficiaries.

Why we were crazy enough to start Fild in the midst of a global pandemic

It’s no coincidence that the idea for Fild was first incepted in 2020. For many of us, the global pandemic dramatically shifted how we live and work. We were forced to establish new daily routines worlds away from meeting people in person, attending live events or even physically working within teams.

In finding our ‘new normal’ and supporting our mental and physical health, many of us resorted to finding entertainment or fulfilment online. We found new and creative ways to explore our passions, staying fit and healthy, and staying connected with people from home. Hands up if you did a Zoom quiz with friends on a Saturday night? Or an exercise class online in your living room? You’re not alone.

We soon realised that online experiences not only provided a much-needed beacon of light during a dark period for us all, but were also great fun! All without the commute or need to dress up. Yes please!

What you can expect from us in the coming months

Right now, we are working with a number of hand-curated hosts, delivering a selection of online experiences with live audiences. Our key focus at this stage is to refine and improve these experiences based on your valuable feedback.

Moving forward, the next few weeks look incredibly exciting for Fild! We will continue to curate more high-quality hosts, to deliver unique experiences for our audience. As part of our commitment to social impact, we have also set ourselves a goal of being able to donate a minimum of £500 to Charity Connect by the end of this year!

If you are interested in getting early access to pilot experiences or finding out more about our mission, then we welcome you to join the Fild mailing list.

To achieve our ambitious donation target of £500, help us spread the word and increase the impact we can have!
