Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 7th December 2020

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the Fild website (https://www.fild.co.uk) website operated by Fild.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Your access to and use of the Fild website (www.Fild.co.uk) is subject exclusively to these Terms and Conditions. You will not use the Website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. By using the Website you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the Website.

2. How Fild works

Fild is an online platform which connects Hosts with Guests to deliver unique remote experiences.

Hosts create a profile, which includes all relevant contact information required. All Hosts have to go through an approval process, which is conducted by Fild. Once approval has been granted, Hosts can then list experiences on the Fild website. Experiences can be listed as either Public (i.e. anyone can attend) or Private (i.e. entry is restricted to a certain group of users).

All details will need to be provided by the Host, prior to an experience being listed. Hosts are responsible for setting their own price levels, and the terms of the experience. Guests will have the opportunity to browse through all experiences listed on the Fild website. Once a Guest selects an experience, they can view availability and book this experience, and payment will be taken immediately. After payment has been successfully taken, Guests will receive a confirmation email from Fild confirming payment has been made. A calendar invite to the experience will also be sent out.

Fild acts as a platform to allow Hosts and Guests to connect and attend experiences. Fild is not party to any arrangements between Hosts and Guests, and does not manage any experiences. It is the sole responsibility of the Guest to make their own decision with regards to any arrangements provided by a Host.

3. Event Fees

Guests will have to pay a fee to book and attend an online experience. The fee is set by the Host, and is clearly visible on the page. Guests are directed through the payment process, and can opt out at any stage until payment has been taken.

All payments are processed through our third party provider and no payment information is retained by Fild.

4. Guest Payments

The payment processor used to process Guest Payments will be different based on the event type, as follows: Public Experiences: Eventbrite Payments and Private Experiences: PayPal.

5. Host Payouts

Host payments will be processed via Bank Transfer or PayPal, depending on Host preferences.

6. Complaints

Should you have any complaints about any aspect of Fild’s service, then please contact support@fild.co.uk. This will be reviewed internally and we will aim to respond within 48 hours.

If your complaint is with regards to an experience that you have attended, then a refund may be provided. This will be entirely up to the discretion of Fild, based on our investigation.

7. Cancellations

Whilst we endeavour to ensure that all experiences proceed as planned, there may be some unfortunate instances where an experience has to be cancelled. In the experience that an experience is cancelled, Guests will be fully refunded within 48 hours using the same method of payment.

If a Guest wishes to cancel attendance to an experience, they will be refunded in full if more than 24 hours before the experience. If it is less than 24 hours before the experience, no refund will be refunded.

8. Charity

Fild agrees to donate 25% of all profits to charities selected and approved by Fild. The specific charities who will receive these donations will be listed on the website, and may be subject to change. Payments to charities will be made on a monthly basis.

9. Abuse

Any form of abuse during any Fild experience by a Host or Guest will not be tolerated in any shape or form. Abuse may include verbal threats, threatening behaviour, abusive or foul language. Any Host or Guest who breaches the Abuse guidelines will be investigated internally in the first instance. This may lead to a formal warning, or in more serious cases, termination of an account.

10. Hosts

All Hosts will need to be approved by Fild prior to commencing Hosting duties.

Hosts provide the experience that Guests will attend. It is the responsibility of the Host to provide all content and knowledge of the experience. Hosts will need to maintain a sufficient network speed to connect to the internet.

9. Reviews and Ratings

All Guests are encouraged to review and rate a Host after every experience. All reviews and ratings will be reviewed by our Fild moderators before being displayed on the website. The moderating process may take up to 24 hours.

In the experience of a disputed review and / or rating, Hosts (or Guests) should contact Fild in the first experience – via support@fild.co.uk providing more information on the review and / or rating. Whilst disputed reviews and / or ratings are being investigated, these will not be displayed on the Fild website.
